About Scott Nelson
"I am a believer in community and taking pride in my community. I am not only part of my community; my community is also a part of me. Hence, what I invest in my community will only come around to be an investment in myself. I enjoy life, even at times when life is not the easiest thing to enjoy. I work hard, but I consume my work rather than let it consume me. I know what I produce will be a reflection of me; and I want to assure my work reflects me in the best possible light. I define student affairs as being the guide for college students to help them when they are lost, and a safety net to catch them when they are overwhelmed. To the best of my ability, I aspire to be that guide and that net in my professional community."
